Das BMW-Museum
Die Kleinen sind begeistert von Technik und Automobilen? Dann ist das BMW-Museum an der Haltestelle „Olympiazentrum“ definitiv einen Ausflug wert. Hier wartet neben einer ca. 4000m² umfassenden Dauerausstellung auch eine Wechselausstellung auf interessierte Gäste jeden Alters auf einer Fläche von 1000m². Seit 2016 steht diese unter dem Thema „100 Meisterstücke. BMW Group – 100 Jahre Innovationskraft und unternehmerischer Mut“ und bietet Informationen zur Unternehmensgeschichte und innovativen Einzelstücken.
Zu bieten hat die dauerhafte Ausstellung über 12 Automobile, unterschiedlichste Motoren und Motorräder mitsamt dazugehörigen Infotafeln zu Baujahr, PS, produzierten Stückzahlen und zum letzten Baujahr. Unterteilt ist die Ausstellung in sieben Häusern, die jeweils ein wichtiges Thema behandeln, wie Design, Technik oder Motorsport.
Zwar sind die gelieferten Informationen nicht für jedes Kind hochinteressant, dennoch regen die Ausstellungsstücke zu Diskussionen an. So können Kids sehen, wie Autos sich über die Jahrzehnte verändert haben, welches Modell Mama bzw. Papa als Heranwachsende gefahren sind oder wie neue Modelle überhaupt designt werden.
Das hauseigene Cafe M1 lädt danach noch zu warmen und süßen Speisen und Getränken ein, um den Ausflug für alle Familienmitglieder abzurunden.

The BMW Museum
The little ones are fascinated by technology and automobiles? Then the BMW museum at the station „Olympiazentrum“ is definitely worth a trip. Here both a 4000m² sized permanent exhibition as well as a 1000m² sized temporary exhibition awaits interested guests all ages. Since 2016 the latter one is themed „100 Meisterstücke. BMW Group – 100 Jahre Innovationskraft und unternehmerischer Mut“ ((100 masterpieces. BMW Group – 100 years of innovational energy and entrepreneurial courage“) and offers pieces of information on the company history and innovative unique pieces.
The permanent exhibition offers more than 120 automobiles, a variety of engines and motorcycles together with corresponding information boards about the year of manufacture, horsepower, number of pieces produced and latest year of manufacture. The exhibition is divided into seven sections; each of them gives attention to an important topic like design, technology or motorsports.
Although the provided infos are not exciting for every child the exhibits inspire discussions. That way kids can see how cars developed over the decades, which car type mum or dad drove when being young or how new car types are designed.
The in-house cafe M1 invites everyone to warm and sweet dishes and drinks to complete the trip for all of the family members.
