Tiere üben auf viele Menschen eine große Faszination aus. Doch was, wenn das Wetter einfach nicht für einen Besuch im Tierpark reicht? Dann ins Sea Life München. Im Olympiapark warten 4500 Wasser-Bewohner auf neugierige Besucher. Nemo hier zu finden, könnte daher ganz schön schwierig werden. Insgesamt 226 Tierarten sind hier in 35 für den Besucher sichtbaren Aquarien untergebracht.

Zusätzlich dazu werden viele reguläre Projekte für Kinder angeboten, die vor allem unter dem Augenmerk des Tierschutzes stehen. Kinder zwischen 8 und 12 Jahren können als „Junge Umweltschützer“ hinter die Kulissen sehen, Informationen zu laufenden Naturschutz-Projekten in und um München bekommen und eigenständig einen Beitrag leisten zum Tier- und Naturschutz.

The Sea Life Munich
Animals fascinate a lot of people to a great extend. But what if the weather is just not good enough to visit the zoo? Then you should check out Sea Life. 4500 water residents are waiting for curious visitors in the Olympiapark. Finding Nemo here could pose a bit of a problem. Over all there are 226 different species have their homes in the 35 aquariums that are visible for visitors.
Especially the sharks are a crowd puller like the guitar shark that does in fact not carry a musical instrument. Munich’s Sea life currently has the biggest variety of sharks; a whole of 20 species can be found here. Those visitors that are eager to learn get informed about every species‘ aspects. Did you know that the zebra shark is not striped but spotted?
In the underwater tunnel with a capacity of more than 400 000 litres you can watch turtles, crabs or jellyfish while you receive the impression that you really are diving in the deep sea.
Whoever dares to visit the Sea Life during the rather crowded weekends can watch the sharks getting fed by divers between 11.30 a.m. and 12.30 p.m. Those who rather want to watch rays getting fed can do this also on the weekends at 1.15 p.m. and additionally on tuesdays and thursdays at the same time.
Sea Life offers an extra portion of fun and entertainment, too. You can celebrate birthdays with a treasure hunt or a themed party here with the birthday kid getting a present from Sea Life.
Additionally there are quite a lot of regular projects for kids with their attention turned to animal welfare. Children between 8 and 12 years can have a look backstage as „Junge Umweltschützer“ (Young Ecologists), receive information about recent projects for nature protection in and around Munich and make a contribution to wildlife and nature protection.
