Teil 7: Der Weihnachtsmarkt am Chinesischen Turm

Wann? 25.11. bis 23.12., täglich bis 20.30 Uhr geöffnet (Mo-Fr ab 12 Uhr, Sa&So ab 11 Uhr)

Wo? Am Chinesischen Turm

Was erwartet den Besucher? Viele Stände mit Geschenken, Dekorationen und Schmankerln in wunderschöner Atmosphäre.

Zu kaufen gibt es hier unter anderem in München handgefertigte Kerzen, verschiedene Teesorten sowie Kleidung aus Fell, Weihnachtsdekorationen aus vielen verschiedenen Materialien oder auch Kissen in Tierformen. Zu Essen und Trinken gibt es ein klassisches Angebot an Speisen wie Bratwürste, Kaiserschmarrn, Schokofrüchte und Crepes sowie Glühwein und Punsch.

Was den Markt so besonders macht, sind seine Angebote. Seit letztem Jahr hat er nämlich zwei Eisstockbahnen, die sowohl von Erwachsenen als auch von Kindern (sogar mit Training) genutzt werden können. Kinder können aber auch vergnügen mit einer Fahrt im Holzkarussel oder der Lese-Oma im Geschichtenstadl, die Märchen vorliest. Dies tut sie immer Dienstags bis Freitags um 14 Uhr bis 18 Uhr und am Wochenende von 11.30 Uhr bis 18.30 Uhr. Für Kinder, die gern anpacken, gibt’s zudem noch den Schreiner-Opa im Schreinerstadl, der zu gleichen Zeit wie die Lese-Oma kleine Holzspielzeuge mit den Kindern zusammen bastelt.

An den Wochenenden kann man als ganze Familie auch eine der Kutschfahrten genießen, die von der Kutscherei Hans Holzmann angeboten werden. Aber unbedingt vorher reservieren!

Fazit: Der Markt schenkt gerade Familien viele besinnliche und unterhaltsame Stunden. Für Kinder sind noch viele weitere Aktionen geboten als die oben beschriebenen. Gerade die Eisstockbahnen verführen vor allem die Erwachsenen auch mal etwas länger zu bleiben. Besonders schön wirkt der Markt natürlich, wenn es bereits dunkel wird. Da erstrahlt dann sogar der Chinesische Turm selbst in weihnachtlichem Glanz mit ganz vielen kleinen Lichtern.

Part 7: The christmas market at the Chinesischer Turm (Chinese Tower)

When? 25^th of November until 23^rd of December, daily until 8.30 p.m. (Mon-Fri starting at 12 p.m., Sat&Sun at 11 a.m.)

Where? At the Chinesischer Turm

What can the visitor expect? Lots of booths with presents, decorations and delicacies in a beautiful atmosphere.

Amongst others you can buy handmade candles from Munich, different types of tea as well as clothings made of fur christmas decorations made out of different materials or pillows in the form of animals. For food and drinks there are traditional things like fried sausages, Kaiserschmarrn, chocolate covered fruits and crepes as well as mulled wine and punch.

What makes this market so special are his offerings. Since last year there are two curling rinks that can be used by both grown-ups and kids (with tutoring). Children can also enjoy a ride on the merry-go-round or the Lese-Oma, who reads fairy tales in the Geschichtenstadl. She does this every tuesday to friday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. and on weekends from 11.30 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. For kids who like to pitch in there is also the Schreiner-Opa in the Schreinerstadl, who crafts little wooden toys together with the kids there at the same times as the Lese-Oma.

On the weekends you can also enjoy one of the carriage rides which are offered by the carriage maker Hans Holzmann. But absolutely make a reservation beforehand.

Conclusion: The market presents lots of reflective and entertaining hours especially to families. There are way more attractions offered to kids than mentioned in the text above. Particularly the curling rink seduces the grown-ups to stay a little bit longer. The market appears extremely pretty when the darkness sets in. Then even the Chinesische Turm gets illuminated in christmassy brightness with lots of little lights.

Teil 6: Der Haidhauser Weihnachtsmarkt

Wann? 24.11. bis 24.12., täglich ab 11 Uhr (So – Mi bis 20.30 Uhr, Do-Sa bis 21 Uhr), am 24.12. von 10 Uhr -14 Uhr geöffnet

Wo? Am Weißenburger Platz

Was erwartet den Besucher? Über 60 Stände mit Waren und gastronomischem Angebot.

Der seit über 40 Jahren existierende Weihnachtsmarkt gilt als einer der schönste Märkte im südbayerischen Raum. Er wirkt familiär und gemütlich, ist festlich geschmückt und bietet viel Abwechselung. Natürlich werden hier ganz traditionell Christbaumschmuck und Weihnachtsschmuck angeboten. Doch auch afrikanische Figuren, Seifen aus Schafsmilch oder auch bedruckte Tassen kann hier kaufen.

Zu bestaunen gibt es unter anderem die Krippe in der originalen Zillertaler Holzhütte; alle Figuren sind natürlich handgeschnitzt.

Bei dem Essensangebot orientiert sich der Markt an den klassischen Angeboten a la Bratwürste, Kartoffelgerichte, Ausgezogene, Dampfnudeln, Lebkuchen sowie Glühwein und Punsch. Doch der Christmator wird ausschließlich für den Haidhauser Weihnachtsmarkt gebraut.

Nicht nur ein Karussel begeistert die Kinder, sondern auch der Nikolaus, der am 6.12. um 14 Uhr zum Markt kommen wird. Auch ein Luftballonkünstler, Kinderschminken und das Kasperletheater unterhalten die Kinder sicher bestens.

Natürlich kommen auch die Erwachsenen nicht zu kurz. Verschiedene Chöre, Kapellen und Musikanten verzaubern ihre Zuschauer jeden Abend aufs Neue.

Fazit: Der Haidhauser Weihnachtsmarkt wird nicht umsonst zu einem der schönsten Märkte Südbayerns gezählt. Er ist nicht zu groß, aber auch nicht zu schnell durchlaufen. Die Angebote sind klassisch und sehr hübsch anzusehen. Wer Alkohol trinkt, sollte unbedingt den Christmator probieren. Und unbedingt die Krippe ansehen!

Part 6: The Haidhauser christmas market

When? 24^th of November until 24^th of December, daily starting at 11 a.m. (Sun-Wed until 8.30 p.m., Tue-Sat until 9 p.m.), on 24^th of December from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Where? At the Marienplatz

What can the visitor expect? Over 60 stalls with goods and gastronomical offerings.

The christmas market, that has been existing for over 40 years now, is said to be one of the most beautiful ones in south bavaria. It seems familial and cozy, is decorated festively and offers a lot of variety. Of course traditional christmas tree decorations and christmas decorations are offered. But also african figurines, soaps made out of sheep milk or printed cups can be bought.

One of the things to marvel at is the nativity set in the original Zillertaler Holzhütte; of course all of the figurines are hand-carved.

The offered dishes at the market are rather the classics like fried sausages, potato dishes, Ausgezogene, yeast dumplings, gingerbread as well as drinks like mulled wine and punch. But the Christmator is only brewed for the Haidhauser christmas market.

Not only a merry-go-round can elate the kids, but also the St. Nicolas who will be coming to the market on the 6^th of December at 2 p.m. Also a balloon artist, kids‘ make-up and the Punch and Judy show will most definitely entertain the children.

Of course grown-ups will not miss out of fun. A variety of choirs, chapels and musicians enchant their audiences every evening anew.

Conclusion: It is not without reason the Haidhauser christmas market is called one of the most beautiful in Southern Bavaria. It’s not big, but also not too small to be walked through too quickly The offers are traditional and pretty to look at. Whoever drinks alcohol should try the Christmator. And definitely have a look at the nativity set!

Teil 5: Der Mittelaltermarkt

Wann? 24.11. bis 23.12., täglich von 11 Uhr bis 20 Uhr

Wo? Am Wittelsbacher Platz

Was erwartet den Besucher? Aus Antikholz hergestellte Marktstände.

Wer lieber zwischen Rittern und Hofdamen in weihnachtliche Stimmung kommen will, der muss unbedingt den Mittelaltermarkt besuchen. Alles dort wirkt, also wäre die Zeit tatsächlich vor mehreren Jahrhunderten einfach stehen geblieben. Daher darf man hier keine normale Weihnachtsdeko erwarten. Die Stände sind genauso handgeschnitzt wie der Großteil der angebotenen Holzwaren. Natürlich dürfen deftige Speisen wie Spanferkel und Flammkuchen genauso wenig fehlen wie Süßes, wie z.B. Lebkuchen oder Crepes. Während man dann eine Feuerzangenbowle, einen alkoholfreien Zwergentrunk oder einen Würzwein trinkt, kann man Glasbläsern und Goldschmieden bei der Herstellung ihrer Waren zusehen.

Ein vielfältiges Unterhaltungsprogramm fasziniert dabei Jung und Alt; man kann Gauklern zusehen, Märchen lauschen, zu Mittelaltermusik tanzen oder eine Feuerschau bestaunen.

Fazit: Der Markt schlechthin für Alle, die etwas Anderes wollen. Obwohl der Markt eher klein gehalten ist und schnell recht voll wirkt, gibt es so vieles zu entdecken und probieren. Wer sich schon immer zum Mittelalter hingezogen gefühlt hat, wird diesen Markt nicht so schnell verlassen wollen. Vor allem für Kinder bietet er Unterhaltung pur.

Part 5: The medieval market

When? 24^th of November until 23^rd of December, daily from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m.

Where? At the Wittelsbacher Platz

What can the visitor expect? Market stalls made out of antique wood.

Those who prefer to get in the christmas mood between knights and court ladies need to come to the medieval market. Everything there seems like time simply stood still centuries ago. That’s why you can’t expect usual christmas decorations. Not only the booths are handcarved but the offered goods made out of woods are as well. Of course hearty dishes like suckling pig or Flammkuchen or sweet things like gingerbread or crepes can’t be missing there, too. While you are drinking a Feuerzangenbowle, an alcoholfree Zwergentrunk or a Würzwein you can watch glassblowers and goldsmiths producing their goods.

A diverse entertainment program fascinates young and old; you can watch jugglers, listen to fairy tales, dance to medieval music or marvel at a fire show.

Conclusion: The market per se for all those that like something different. Even though the market is rather small and appears filled with people pretty quickly there is so much to discover and to try. Whoever has felt drawn to the medieval times will not want to leave that market too quickly. Especially for kids it’s pure entertainment.

Teil 4: Der Neuhauser Weihnachtsmarkt

Wann? 24.11. bis 23.12., täglich von 11 Uhr bis 20.30 Uhr

Wo? Am Rotkreuzplatz

Was erwartet den Besucher? Eine Vielzahl von Buden mit einem traditionellen Angebot an Waren und Speisen.

Wer noch klassische Dekoration wie Krippenfiguren oder Christbaumschmuck sucht, wird hier unter Garantie fündig. Des weiteren findet man hier duftende Seifen, Kerzen aus Bienenwachs, Spielzeug aus Holz, Keramik und Accessoires wie Schals, Handschuhe und Mützen. Auch bei Essen und Trinken setzt der Markt auf Tradition. Daher stehen Crepes, Glühwein, Punsch und Bratwürste auf dem Speiseplan.

Verschiedene Bläsergruppen und Chöre sind seit Jahren ein fester Bestandteil des Neuhauser Marktes und sind natürlich dieses Jahr erneut geladen. Kein Tag vergeht ohne eine musikalische Darbietung. Ein Höhepunkt des Marktes stellt die Tombola dar. Während der gesamten Weihnachtszeit kann man Lose erstehen und mit etwas Glück einer von 10 Gewinnern einer Weihnachtsgans sein.

Für das jüngere Publikum kommt am 6.12. um 17 Uhr der Nikolaus zum Markt. Jeden Sonntag gibt es zudem ein Kasperletheater, sowohl um 14 Uhr als auch um 15 Uhr. Ein Kinderkarussel bietet auch außerhalb der Spielzeiten genug Spaß und Unterhaltung für die Kids.

Fazit: Für alle Fans traditioneller Weihnachtsmärkte. Seit über 30 Jahren setzt dieser Markt auf konventionelle Waren für das Weihnachtsfest und schafft somit ein Gefühl des Vertrauten in seinen Besuchern. Vor allem der Nikolaus wird bei den Kindern für große Augen sorgen. Auf diesem Markt kann die ganze Familie eine gemütliche Zeit verbringen.

Part 4: the Neuhauser Christmas Market

Where? At the Rotkreuzplatz

What can the visitor expect? A multitude of booths with a traditional offer of goods and dishes.

Those who still look for conventional decoration like crib figurines or christmas tree decorations will definitely be lucky here. Furthermore you can find scented soaps, candles made out of bee wax, toys made out of wood, pottery and accessories like scarfs, gloves and beanies.. Even with food this market trusts in tradition. That is why crepes, mulled wine, punch and fried sausages are on the menu.

Different wind instrument bands and choirs have been an inherent part of the Neuhauser market and are naturally invited this year, too. No day passes by without a musical performance. A peak of this market is the raffle. You can buy lots the whole christmas time and with a bit of luck can win 1 of 10 christmas geese.

For the younger audience St. Nicolas will be visiting the market on the 6^th of December at 5 p.m. In addition to this there will be a Punch and Judy show every sunday, both at 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. A merry-go-round for kids offers children enough fun and entertainment when the shows are not playing.

Conclusion: For every fan of traditional christmas markets. For over 30 years this market places its emphasis on conventional goods for christmas and thus creates a feeling of familiarity in its visitors. Especially the St. Nicolas will excite the kids a lot. The whole family can spend a comfortable time on this market.

Teil 3: Der Schwabinger Weihnachtsmarkt

Wann? 25.11. bis 24.12., Mo-Fr von 12 Uhr bis 20.30 Uhr, Sa und So ab 11 Uhr, 24.12. von 11 Uhr bis 14 Uhr

Wo? An der Münchner Freiheit

Was erwartet den Besucher? Gut 80 Buden.

Vor allem Buden mit vielen künstlerischen Stücken findet man hier. Auch Installationen und einen Skulpturenpfad hat dieser Weihnachtsmarkt zu bieten. Sogar ein ganzes Kunstzelt ist geboten. Aber natürlich bietet auch dieser Markt typisch weihnachtliche Speisen an wie Plätzchen, Maroni, Bratwürste und Getränke wie Punsch und Glühwein.

Nicht nur für Kinder ist ein vielfältiges Angebot vorhanden. Neben kleinen Theaterstücken und Märchenerzählungen für die Kleinen, gibt es Bands und Künstlerauftritte für die Großen zu bestaunen. Das gesamte Angebot finden Sie hier:

Schönes Extra: Der alljährliche Wunschbaum von ALVENI, der Flüchtlingshilfe der Caritas. Jedem ist es möglich, einen der Wünsche im Wert von ca. 20€ vom Baum zu pflücken und zu erfüllen.

Fazit: Gerade für Kunstliebhaber ein Must-Visit. Vor allem Liebhaber von Schmuck und Skulpturen können hier viel Zeit verbringen. Aber auch solche, die abends gerne musikalisch unterhalten werden, werden diesen Weihnachtsmarkt lieben. Durch das vielfältige Kinderprogramm wird sich niemand in der Familie langweilen.

Part 3: the Schwabinger Christmas market

Where? At the Münchner Freiheit

What can the visitor expect? More than 80 booths.

Primarily booths with artsy things can be found here. This christmas market also offers installations and a sculpture path. Even an art tent is provided. But of course this market serves typical christmas dishes like cookies, chestnuts, fried sausages and drinks like punch and mulled wine, too.

Not only for kids there is a versatile program. In addition to small plays and fablings for the young ones there are bands and performers for the grown-ups to marvel at. The whole program can be found here:

Beautiful extra: The annual wishtree from ALVENI, the refugee aid from Caritas. Everybody is invited to pick one of the wishes worth around 20€ from the tree and fulfill it.

Conclusion: Especially for lovers of art a Must-Visit. Particularly lovers of jewelry and sculptures can spend a lot of time there. But also those who want to be musically entertained in the evening will love this christmas market. Thanks to the wide-ranged kids‘ program nobody in the family will be bored.

Teil 2: Der Christkindlmarkt am Sendlinger Tor

Wann? 24.11. bis 23.12., täglich ab 10.30 Uhr bis 21 Uhr

Wo? Am Sendlinger-Tor-Platz

Was erwartet den Besucher? Rund 40 Buden mit breit gefächerten Angeboten.

Viele internationale Dinge wie Seifen, Gewürze, Tees, Duftöle und Schmuck. Natürlich fehlen allerlei weihnachtliche Dekorationen nicht.

Wer hungrig ist, kann sich herzhafte Bratwürste, Maiskolben, Baguettes und diverse Kartoffelgerichte schmecken lassen. Danach kann der Besuch mit Glühwein, Feuerzangenbowle, alkoholfreiem Kinderpunch und heißer Schokolade ausklingen.

Jeden Sonntag um 17 Uhr und 19 Uhr spielen die Schwabinger Turmbläser Weihnachtslieder, die auch noch den größten Weihnachtsmuffel zum Schwärmen bringen.

Auch für Kinder steht etwas auf dem Programm. Jeden Montag und Donnerstag um 15 Uhr und 16 Uhr kommt das Kasperle, um für passende Stimmung bei den Kleinsten zu sorgen.

Fazit: Klein, aber fein. Gerade Liebhaber weltweiter Schätze können hier viel entdecken. Da der Markt eher übersichtlich ist, ist das Gedränge hier weitaus kleiner. Daher können gerade Kinder ihren Spaß haben, ohne dauerhaft umhergedrückt zu werden.

Vor allem das Kasperletheater hält die Kinder bei Laune. Familien mit wenig freier Zeit kommen auf ihre Kosten ohne das Gefühl zu haben, sich beeilen zu müssen, um alles vom Markt zu sehen.

Part 2: the Christmas Market at the Sendlinger Tor

When? 24^th of November until 23^rd of December, daily starting at 10.30 a.m. until 9 p.m.

Where? At the Sendlinger-Tor-Platz

What can the visitor expect? Around 40 booths with a wide variety of offers.

Lots of international goods like soaps, spices, teas, fragrance oils and jewelry. Of course all kinds of christmas decorations aren’t missing.

Whoever is hungry can taste hearty fried sausages, corn on the cob, baguettes and a variation of potato dishes. After this the visit can finish with mulled wine, a feuerzangenbowle (a german speciality), alcoholfree punch for kids and hot chocolate.

Every sunday at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. the Schwabinger Turmbläser play christmas carols that put even the grumpiest person into rhapsodies about christmas.

For kids, too, there is something offered in the market’s schedule. Every monday and thursday at 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. the Punchinello is coming to care for a good mood amongst the young ones.

Conclusion: Small but nice. Especially lovers of worldwide treasures can discover a lot. Since the market is rather clearly arrranged, the crowd is pretty small. Especially children can have fun without being pushed around all the time.

Mainly the Punch and Judy show jollies the children along. Families with not much free time can have tremendous fun without getting the feeling they need to hurry to see everything from the market.

Es ist wieder soweit – Die Weihnachtszeit ist da. Nun laden Lebkuchen, Weihnachtslieder, Glühwein und Bratäpfel wieder dazu ein, dem Alltagsstress ein wenig zu entfliehen und den Tag zu entschleunigen. Wo ginge das besser als auf unseren schönen Christkindlmärkten? Aber welcher bietet was genau? Wo kann man am besten mit seinen Kindern hingehen? Welcher Markt bietet etwas Außergewöhnliches? Besonders ‚Zuagroasten‘ können die folgenden Blogeinträge helfen, sich zu orientieren und zu entscheiden.

Was erwartet den Besucher? Um die 160 Buden auf 20.000m².

Alle Stände mit Essen bieten mind. 1 Bio-Gericht an, viele Stände auch vegetarische und vegane Gerichte. Für die Erwachsenen gibt es Glühweinin verschiedenen Versionen, für Kinder Punsch in mehreren Varianten. Gerade die Buden mit Weihnachtsdekorationen, vorrangig aus Holz, sind ein Hingucker für Kids.

Ab 17:30 Uhr wird jeden Tag vom Rathauser Balkon Weihnachtsmusik abgespielt. Mutige betrachten 300 Krampusse am 11.12. von 15 – 17 Uhr und am 18.12. von 16 – 17 Uhr beim traditionellen Krampuslauf. Kinder sind eingeladen bei der Mitmach-Werkstatt „Keine Angst vorm Krampus“ im Alten Rathaus am 10.12. zwischen 11 und 17 Uhr eigene Mini-Kramperl zu basteln. Für die Kleinsten gibt’s im Prunkhof am 27.11. und 4.12. um 14 Uhr und 15 Uhr das Kasperl Theater Zettl zu bestaunen.

Fazit: Der wohl imposanteste Christkindlmarkt in ganz München und eigentlich für alle Münchner und Besucher ein Muss. Allein schon das Ambiente rund um die Einkaufsstraße und das Rathaus lädt zum Verweilen, Bummeln und Shopping ein. Für jeden Geschmack ist etwas geboten, sei es bezüglich Essen oder Dekoration. Auch Kinder haben dort ihren Spaß – aber Vorsicht, der Krampuslauf ist nichts für sensible Kinder, da die Kostüme doch sehr angsteinflößend wirken können!

It’s the time again – christmas season is here. Gingerbread, christmas carols, mulled wine and baked apples again invite you to escape the everyday stress and to decelerate the day. Where could you possibly do this any better than on our beautiful christmas markets? But which one offers exactly what? Where can you take your kids with you best? Which market offers something out of the ordinary? Especially ‚Zuagroasten‘ (people who only recently moved to Munich) can use these blog entries as a means to orientate and decide.

Part 1: the Munich Christmas Market

When? 25^th of November until 24^th of December, daily starting at 10 a.m. (Mon-Sat until 9pm, Sun until 8pm, 24^th of December until 2pm)

Where? At the Marienplatz

What can the visitor expect? Around 160 booths on 20.000m².

All of the booths that offer food serve at least 1 organic dish, lots of them offer vegetarian or vegan options. For the adults there are different versions of mulled wine, for kids there are a few variations of alcoholfree punch. Especially the booths with christmas decorations, most of them made out of wood, are a real eyecatcher for kids.

Starting at 5:30 p.m. every day christmas music will be played from the town hall’s balcony. Brave people watch 300 Krampusse during the traditionalKrampuslauf on the 11^th of December from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and on the 18^th of December from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Kids are invited to craft their own Mini-Kramperl at the Join-In Workshop „Keine Angst vorm Krampus“ (No fear of the Krampus) on the 10^th of December between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. in the Old Town Hall. For the littlest ones there will be the Kasperl Theather Zettl (Punch and Judy Show Zettl) to marvel at on the 27^th of November and the 4^th of December at 2 p.m. and 3 p.m.

Conclusion: Probably the most impressive christmas market in whole Munich and technically a must for every Munich resident and visitor. The ambience around the shopping street and the town hall alone invites to staying, strolling and shopping. There is something offered for everyone’s taste, both regarding food and decoration. Kids also have fun there – but be careful, the Krampuslauf is not for sensitive children, since the costumes can appear pretty frightening!

Der Herbst ist wirklich meine liebste Jahreszeit. Es ist noch warm, die Blätter färben sich rot und gelb und man kann gemütlich mit einer Tasse Tee oder Kakao vor dem Kamin sitzen.

Aber natürlich bietet die Natur einiges an Unterhaltung – unter anderem Kastanienfiguren! Gerade Kinder haben Spaß am Sammeln und Basteln.

Zurzeit findet man viele Kastanien in Parks auf dem Boden liegen. Wichtig ist es daher, sie gut trocknen zu lassen. Wer sehr kreativ werden möchte, kann auch noch Eicheln, Blätter und Beeren sammeln oder Zubehör wie Wackelaugen und Tonpapier benutzen.

Generell braucht ihr folgende Materialien:

– Kastanien

– Handbohrer, möglichst dünn

– Zahnstocher

Damit lassen sich bereits süße Kastanienfiguren zaubern.

Zum Beispiel ein Kastanienmännchen.

Für den Körper nutzt man eine große Kastanie und bohrt mehrere Löcher. Genau 2 für die Arme, 1 Loch genau dazwischen für den Kopf und 2 am anderen Ende der Kastanie für die Füße.

The man is already done per se. Those who want more details can glue googly eyes on the head or give their men an acorn’s hat. With colored drawing paper you can craft hair that you can glue on. If you do not want any pointy ends for hands, you can also use matches. Then it looks like your chestnut man is wearing gloves.

If you want to craft an animal, just try a hedgehog. It’s a bit more complex because it needs lots of holes.

Take a big chestnut. If it is flat on one side it won’t roll around all the time.

If you want to use googly eyes decide on their spots. You can drill holes everywhere above these spots. In order for the hedgehog to look spiky you need around 10 holes. Divide 5 toothpicks into halves and put them in the drilled holes with the pointy ends up. When all of that is done, you can finally glue on the eyes. Of course you can drill 2 smaller, not so deep holes instead that function as eyes or use 2 matches that you cut off near the head and place them inside. Maybe your hedgehog also wants a nose?

There really are no bounds to the imagination when crafting with chestnuts. Simply try out different kinds of animals like snakes or a snail. That way crafting time will spin away without boredom.

Ich antworte auf Fragen von Usern, erstelle neuen Content und prüfe neue Netzwerke auf ihre Tauglichkeit für mymary. Es ist wichtig, immer auf dem neuesten Stand zu sein, Trends zu kennen und Wege zu finden, Leute online über mymary zu informieren.

Was gibt es über mich noch zu sagen?

Man findet mich fast immer online. Das Internet ist mein Zuhause. Wenn ich nicht gerade im Internet surfe, treffe ich (offline) Freunde und diskutiere mit ihnen über Politik, Wirtschaft und viele andere Themen. Zudem koche ich sehr gerne und gehe im Park in meiner Nähe spazieren.

What do I do at mymary?

As a community manager I take care of things like all the social networks, i.e. Facebook, the blog and the set-up and maintenance of a forum. I answer questions from users, create new content and examine new networks to see if they are suitable for mymary. It is important to be always up to date, to know trends and to find ways to inform people online about our company.

What else is there to say about me?

You can pretty much always find me online. The internet is my home. If I do not browse the internet, I meet my friends (offline) and discuss politics, economics and lots of other topics with them. I also love to cook and go for a walk in the park near me.

Ich bin für alles Technische verantwortlich. Von der Beaufsichtigung über die Programmierung der Website und der Sicherstellung, dass der Server jederzeit läuft, bis zu der Aufgabe, die Buchungen und Zahlungen so benutzerfreundlich wie möglich zu gestalten. Der Algorithmus, der die perfekte Mary für den Nutzer findet, ist eine weitere große Herausforderung.

Was gibt es über mich noch zu sagen?

Ich halte mich für einen entspannten Kerl, den man nur schwer verärgern kann. Wenn ich nicht arbeite, treffe ich mich mit Freunden und sehe mir Filme mit ihnen an. Alles, was entspannt.

What do I do at mymary?

I’m responsible for everything tech related. From managing and coding the website through making sure the server runs at all time to getting the booking and payment workflows as user friendly as possible. The algorithm that finds the perfect mary for the user is also a big challenge.

I think I am a pretty chill guy that is hard to ruffle. When I’m not working I like hanging out and watching movies with friends. Anything that’s chill.
